Horizon Civitas mission is to enhance civic engagement, strengthen the level of democracy in society, and help the full implementation of freedoms and human rights.
Short description of the project:
Many of convicted individuals for crimes related to Article 322-a of Criminal Code of Macedonia are about to finish their sentences in the upcoming one to three years.
Some even sooner, and are already released from prison for a weekend period. Thus, they and also their FMs are foreseen to be engaged to re-integration programs implemented by public institutions. The goal of this project is to contribute an evidence-based document, research and data for the CVE and CT National Coordinator team to know the needs and issues of the family members so that later on will be able to initiate a re-integration process for convicted individuals and their family members.
The objectives of this project are:
– to assess the concerns, issues and needs of FMs through conducting a research within a period of four months.
– to engage FMs in policy-making process with the CVE/CT National Committee and the other relevant institutions for drafting further re-integration and re- socialisation programs to be implemented by public institutions.
Activity 1: Research
Horizon Civitas will conduct and publish a research, containing interviews with FMs of convicted individuals.
Activity 2: Dialogue Event
Horizon Civitas will organize a dialogue event in which members of NCCVE will meet with FMs in order to initiate process of reintegration program.
